Currently Dashboards can be restricted so that only a selection of teams have access. Now that we're introducing object level permissions to formulas and data sources we will be updating dashboards as well to work the same way.

Every time you create a new dashboard it will have an owner, and the ability to share the dashboard with employees or teams.

This will allow you to give full rights to non-admins to access the dashboard you choose to give access to. Without giving users access to see all dashboards you will be able to configure which objects are accessed and by who - as opposed to which team.

The goal is to let you choose whether you share objects with an individual or a team without having to create a "managers team".

We're looking for feedback about what you like/dislike about the current way of limiting access to dashboards so that we can improve as we transition to "object level permissions".
